Psychological Assessment of School Harassment and Bullying

🏫 AVE Test: Assessment of Bullying and School Violence in Panama

Detecting bullying early is protecting your children's future. At Neuropsyedu, we use the AVE (Bullying and School Violence) instrument to identify indicators of school violence and as a tool to help identify potential psychological effects resulting from bullying.

📊 What does the AVE Assessment measure?

Our assessment is broken down into specific scales that allow for a detailed diagnosis of the student's situation:

🎯 Bullying Behavior Scales

  • Global Harassment Index: Establishes the overall intensity and frequency of harassment behaviors.

  • Harassment: Evaluates psychological harassment manifested through contempt and attacks on the dignity of the minor.

  • Intimidation: Detects the presence of fear caused by persistent threats and intimidating actions.

  • Threats to Integrity: Identify possible extortion or direct threats against the child or their family.

  • Coercion: Analyze whether the minor is being forced to perform actions against their will through domination.

  • Social Blocking: Evaluate if there are prohibitions on playing, communicating, or expressing oneself with peers.

  • Social Exclusion: Measures the child's isolation and behaviors that seek to make their presence invisible in the group.

  • Social Manipulation: Detects if the child's image is being distorted to present a negative profile to others.

  • Aggressions: Evaluates direct attacks, both physical and psychological.

🧠 Clinical Value of the AVE Test

What makes this evaluation fundamental is its comprehensiveness, since it also considers   clinical scales , such as:

➡️ Anxiety and Post-Traumatic Stress.

➡️ Dysthymia (mild but chronic depression).

➡️ Decreased Self-Esteem and Negative Self-Image.
