The Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS-IV) is a clinical test that assesses cognitive ability in adolescents and adults between the ages of 16 years 0 months and 90 years 11 months.
The WAIS-IV is a test that can be useful for a variety of reasons for consultation related to adolescence and adulthood. For example: learning disorders (reading difficulties, mathematical difficulties), neurodevelopmental disorders (ADHD in adults, Autism in adults), mild cognitive impairment, dementia, high abilities, mild or moderate intellectual disability, individuals with borderline intelligence or suspected dementia.
The WAIS-IV allows the following indices to be assessed:

✅ Perceptual Reasoning Index: index that evaluates mental processes related to non-verbal reasoning, perceptual organization, simultaneous information processing, visual motor coordination, learning, fluid intelligence and the ability to analyze and synthesize abstract visual stimuli.
✅ Working Memory Index: index that measures skills related to simultaneous information processing, sequential processing, attention, concentration, cognitive flexibility, learning, coding, memorization, information transformation, information evocation, visuospatial imagination, numerical reasoning, logical reasoning, and quantitative knowledge.
✅ Processing Speed Index: index that measures skills related to mental processing, visual trace, graphomotor skills, psychomotor skills, short-term visual memory, psychomotor speed, cognitive flexibility, planning and learning ability.
