🇵🇦 A Bridge Between Panama and Global Science 🌎
At Neuropsyedu®, we firmly believe that "every mind is a universe" and that our mission is to unlock paths to understanding it with the greatest possible precision. Today, we are proud to share an achievement that reaffirms this commitment: our founder, Mario Pimentel, and our co-founder, Susan Navarro, have been officially accepted as Professional Members of the International Neuropsychological Society (INS) for the 2026 term.
This membership opens the door to the scientific advancement of our work, directly impacting the quality and prestige of the care you receive at our Mental Health Center in Panama.
🚀 Why is the INS Important Globally? A Legacy of Giants
The International Neuropsychological Society is one of the most prestigious academic societies in the world dedicated to promoting the study of brain-behavior relationships. Belonging to the INS means being connected to both the living history and the future of Neuropsychology at an international level.
To understand the weight of this achievement, one only needs to look at the figures who have guided the Society's path. The historical figures who laid the foundations of modern consultation have presided over this institution:
Pioneers of the Field
-
Muriel Lezak (President 1987): Historically considered the "mother of modern neuropsychological assessment." Her work defined our understanding of brain damage and transformed assessment into a deeply human process, not just a metric one.
-
Arthur Benton (President 1971): One of the founding fathers of clinical neuropsychology, whose visual and spatial assessment methods remain gold standards today.
By joining this network, we draw upon the legacy of these historical giants to apply their standards here, in the Panamanian context 🇵🇦.

⭐️ Positive Impact: Assessment and Intervention with International Standards
How does this benefit our clients in Panama?
Belonging to the INS grants us access to the latest research, tools, and global ethical debates. This translates into more precise, updated, and objective assessment and therapy processes for you.
At Neuropsyedu®, we have had the honor of serving clients from more than 15 nationalities throughout our three years of operation. We understand that the brain does not exist in a vacuum; it exists within a unique cultural background. Our professional membership in the INS reinforces our drive to improve the criteria used to address population neurodiversity based on high scientific standards.
✍️ Respect for the Cultural Factor
Following international ethical guidelines, this membership strengthens our competencies in three key areas:
-
Navigating Diversity: We are better equipped to source pertinent information for the neuropsychological evaluation and therapy of populations with specific languages and cultural nuances.
-
Building Trust: We continue to refine the clinical skills necessary to build rapport, conduct precise interviews, and apply clinical reasoning to clients from diverse backgrounds.
-
Applying Global Standards: We utilize the Test Adaptation and Translation Guidelines of the International Test Commission to rigorously evaluate if a translated test is appropriate for you or your family member.
💡 Faithful to Our Values: Continuous Improvement
In our Brand Book, we define Continuous Improvement as one of our core pillars. We are not satisfied with static knowledge. Brain science advances quickly, and we seek to advance alongside it within the company of highly prestigious professional networks.
This membership is an investment of resources and energy aimed at a single goal: expanding our scientific knowledge to offer you the best.
